Circuit Training

 Circuit training is a form of body conditioning or resistance training using high-intensity aerobics. It targets strength building or muscular endurance. An exercise “circuit” is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program.

Barre

The class uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Also, the class can incorporate light handheld weights to bring the burn during all those reps, as well as mats for targeted core work.

Step Aerobics

The class provides a high intensity, low impact work out. It is a choreographed routine of stepping up and down on a rectangular platform. Stepping up, over and around an adjustable step to the beat of high-energy music gives you an excellent total-body workout that’s good for burning fat, building muscle and improving your fitness.
